Welcome to the official terms governing all Ghostly Engines promotions, bonus offers, and giveaways. By participating in any offer, you're agreeing to the following conditions, so please read them carefully.Key Definitions we, us, or our – the organiser and promoter. You: The participant, customer, or eligible claimant. Qualifying Product: Any specific item that must be purchased to be eligible for a promotional item or benefit. Promotional Item / Bonus Offer: A free item, code, gift, or digital reward linked to a promotion. Vendor: A third-party manufacturer or brand (e.g. a game publisher or tech brand) running their own promotions in partnership or independently.Who Can Participate Promotions are only open to New Zealand residents. You must be 18 years or older or have parental or guardian consent to take part. Proof of age, residency, or identity may be requested. Unless clearly stated, employees or immediate family members of Ghostly Engines are not eligible to enter.Timing & Entry Requirements Each promotion has a clearly marked start and end date and operates under NZST or NZDT. To qualify, you must purchase the eligible item(s) or fulfill the entry conditions within the stated time frame. Stock is limited. We may replace out-of-stock bonuses with equal or higher value alternatives.One Offer Per Order Rule Unless otherwise specified, you may only claim one promotional item or bonus per qualifying purchase. Promotions cannot be combined, stacked, or redeemed across multiple transactions unless clearly allowed.Conditions for Bonus Items Promotional gifts and digital rewards are not exchangeable for cash, credit, or alternatives. Items must be kept in original, unused condition if there's a return involved. Game codes or digital bonuses may:
Ghostly Engines: Referred to as- Require account registration or age verification
- Be subject to expiry dates or third-party restrictions
- Require your credit card or subscription opt-in (e.g. Game Pass)
- We are not responsible for any subscription charges or renewals post-activation.
Returns, Refunds & Promo Deductions
If you return the Qualifying Product, the promotional item must also be returned. If the bonus cannot be returned (e.g. used, digital), the value of the item will be deducted from any refund or charged separately. Your rights under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, are always respected.Vendor-Run Promotions Some giveaways are managed directly by external vendors or brands. In these cases:
- You must follow the vendor's redemption process
- You must agree to their terms and conditions
- All queries, redemptions, or disputes must go directly to the vendor via their website
- Ghostly Engines is not responsible for:
- Vendor delays or technical issues
- Disputes related to eligibility or claim outcomes
- Incorrect claims due to false or incomplete info (e.g. serial numbers, receipts)
Fair Play: Misuse & Disqualification
We monitor activity and may reject or cancel entries if we believe there's been:
- Manipulation or cheating
- False or misleading info
- Multiple claims from one individual beyond allowed limits
- Use of bots or scripts
- Decisions made by Ghostly Engines are final.
Errors, Corrections & Promotion Changes
We are not liable for:
- Website errors
- Misprints
- Technical glitches or incorrect listings
- We reserve the right to:
- Fix errors or revise details without notice
- Replace bonus items with alternatives
- Cancel a promotion entirely due to unforeseen issues like stock or system errors
Legal & Consumer Rights
These terms do not override your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act. We do not accept liability for loss or injury linked to accepting or using a bonus item. Any other indirect or incidental damages are not covered unless legally required. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.Privacy & Information By participating, you consent to:
- Receive communications about the promotion
- Provide any necessary personal info for eligibility checks
- Your data will be handled under the Privacy Act 2020 and our internal Privacy Policy.
Social Media & Publicity
Some promos may require social media engagement such as likes, follows, or tagging. Winners may be:
- Photographed or recorded for promotional content
- Featured on our platforms including website, social media, or marketing
- Participation in publicity is voluntary, but refusal may affect your prize eligibility.
