Do I need to assemble the PC myself?

No! All of our pre-built PC's come pre-assembled and ready to use straight out of the box. Simply plug in the power cable, connect your peripherals and you're ready to go.

Why should I choose a pre-built computer instead of building one myself?

While building your own PC can be a rewarding experience, we understand that many people do not have the time or resources to research, plan, assemble, test and optimize their PC build.

That's where Ghostly Engines comes in - our team has over 10 years of industry experience building PCs for gamers, working professionals and businesses. By shopping with Ghostly you eliminate the risk of damaging brand new components and are promised a quality, tested and complete system.

Is the PC upgradeable?

Yes! You can directly upgrade components within the system's configurable dropdown menus.

Unlike laptops and fully enclosed computers (eg. iMac), our PCs are entirely upgradable for those that are DIY inclined. If you wish to extend the life of your PC in the years to come, upgrading components is totally encouraged!

What do you mean by the PC's are 'Plug & Play'?

Our pre-built PC's are fully assembled and equipped with all the necessary parts to get you gaming, studying, or creating as soon as you receive it. With a Windows 11 operating system preloaded, we've made sure that all you need to do is connect your display and peripherals before diving in.

How do I know the computer is going to be high quality?

At Ghostly Engines all of our computers undergo thorough testing and optimization before they reach the your doorstep. By running each PC through a standardized testing and optimization procedure (eg. I/O ports checklist, thermal stability tests, performance stress tests, etc.), we can ensure that all of the components are working together seamlessly to give you the best experience possible, right out of the box.

How do I know my PC will be safe in transit?

Our pre-built computers are shipped out with a multi-layer protection system. We have external protection around the case and internal padding/protection inside the PC to ensure all of your components are locked in place in the event of a bumpy courier journey.

Once your order is packed and ready to go we will dispatch your order using a signature only courier ticket, We will automatically email you the tracking info to make sure you can track it every step of the way so you make sure it ends up in the right place.

You must remove all the packaging material before turning on your PC to avoid damaging components.

How long will it take to get my PC?

We know how eager you are to get your new PC and/or peripherals and we're just as eager to get them to you! If you are just ordering peripherals, expect your order to be processed and dispatched within half a working day while we confirm your payment has been received. For PC builds, see below.

Build time:

As we offer option component upgrades, we require a 3-5 working day period to install, test and pack your build before it's ready for the courier to collect. We understand this may not align with some people's definition of 'pre-built', however we value the ability to upgrade the PC's components as everyone's performance demands are different.

North Island 1 - 3 working days
South Island 1 - 3 working days
South Island overnight 1 - 3 working days

Can I track my order?

Yes! Once we have dispatched your order, you will be automatically sent a tracking link via email. We use signature only courier tickets as a measure of security, so making sure you are available upon delivery is recommended to avoid delays.

You can also check the status of your order in the account section on our website.

How often do you dispatch orders?

We dispatch on every business day Monday to Friday. We do not dispatch on public holidays or weekends. If there is a public holiday during the week please allow an extra day for delivery.

Can I pick up my PC?

We are currently only offering delivery service - this helps us keep our costs down so we can pass those savings on to you!

What payment options do you accept?

Credit card, bank transfer, and Laybuy.

Can I finance my PC?

Yes! Choose the Laybuy payment option when at the checkout (you will need to sign up if you haven't already), and follow the prompts on screen to complete your order.

Do you have a physical store?

We are currently an online-only store as this allows us to offer our products to you at the best possible price.
